We have always felt that the needs
of both single Christians and those looking for friendships
were not being fully met by the Church or by existing Christian dating services. One of the barriers to meeting these needs has been one of price: Alternative personals, dating services
and matchmaking websites range in price from being free to join to costing hundreds of pounds. The higher priced
websites can result in people not staying long
after joining, stopping you from having such a wide choice. The
free sites can lead to members not being committed and
not keeping their profiles up to date - leading to frustration
for all.
There has also been an issue of non-Christian dating services posing as being run by Christians. Some of them are boldly claiming to be
"The largest Christian dating site" when they are not at all Christian and their only filter to separate the "Christians" from everyone else has been a box
that you click to say you are a "Christian". Every committed Christian knows that this gives no way for them to know if the person is an active churchgoer and believer
or just someone who believes in God but goes no further than that.
