Does ChristiansUK serve one denomination only?

At ChristiansUK we believe that the existence of many church streams and denominations has not helped the cause of single Christians in the church generally. Christian singles have a hard enough time meeting one another without artificial barriers or church or denomination being put in front of them.

For this reason ChristiansUK does not have a search system that allows filtration on the lines of Church or denomination. We encourage members to look at the personalities of individual members and to spend good amounts of time reading profiles of members in areas close to where they live.

A single Christian may rightly feel that their church traditions are important to them but they must realise that the most important thing in a relationship is how they get on with someone and not what particular church they go to. One of the reasons that single Christians have had a hard time finding partners is that the church and denominations have not (historically) been able or willing to work with each other socially to meet the needs of those wanting to meet a wider group of people. Churches have been willing to organise missions together but when it comes to join social occasions they have been lacking. Unfortunately it is more social occasions that single Christians most need.

We would encourage all single Christians to research what other churches in their area are organising. If their own church is not planning any social events perhaps another local one will be. Our own site carries events listings which churches can make use of to publicise their own social and other events for the benefit of our members.
