In response to many queries about whether we
provide a "regular" dating service we are now announcing our
Premium and Super-Premium membership
service. Along with a full years subscription to our

Other "dating agencies" work by providing members
(after an initial interview and background checks) lists of suitable
members which then are contactable via the agency. The agencies do
not usually offer a trial period and their pricing often starts from
approaching £200 for 4 mailings a year. Can you see the difference?

Add to your
profile by creating a blog
We
have started getting into
the world of blogs recently. For those of you that don't know a blog
is just an online diary where you share with the world your thoughts,
photos and favourite links. We thought that it might be a good
idea if members of the site might like to have links to their own
blogs on their profile so other members could get an even better idea
about what you are like. Blog are free and really easy to create and
maintain and millions of new ones are created each day. The one
we're using is provided by Blogger.com which is owned by
Google. This is Richard's
Blog (please don't judge it too harshly as we've only just
started adding to it :-)) . If you have created a blog that you want
other member to find through your profile just email us on this
address and let us know your Username. We will periodically check
that what you're posting is appropriate and the only thing we ask is
that you have a link to us on the front page of your blog somewhere.
Why am I not
getting any mail?
Occasionally we get asked
"Why has no-one clicked on my profile?" and we have a number of
suggestions that may be helpful to share with the wider membership.
Firstly, the reality is that profiles with no photos will often be
bypassed in favour of those that have them. This may seem
like a shallow thing for people to do but it is a reality that a
profile with a photo has many times the likelyhood of being clicked
on than those without. Even a poor photo is better than none and a
good one shows extra commitment. Secondly, make sure your profile is
fully filled in and shows your character in an interesting and
engaging way. Thirdly, make sure you are using the site regularly as
the searches are weighted towards regular active members. Don't
expect members to just happen to find you if you've none of what
we've mention here as it just won't happen.
Server move
For those of you that are interested in the technical aspects
of the site we need to let you know that in the next 10 days we will
be moving the host for the site from the United States to the UK
where we will have a dedicated (i.e faster etc) machine
handling ChristiansUK. This will mean that at some point the site
will briefly be unavailable while we switch things over. When
this happens don't panic as we won't be away for long but we will need
to test that things work ok before we go back online again.
Instant payment
system
You now have the option of making an instant
payment
through Protx rather than by first signing up
to Paypal. Members have been doing this throughout
July and August successfully All you need to do is click through to the
payment page from the members area, click on one of the "subscribe"
options, confirm your price choice and then you will be taken to the
Protx secure payment page. Enter your credit/debit card details here
and when your payment is successful you will be taken back to our
site where your extra days will have been added on. If you want
to spread your payments out you can still do that by clicking
on the "Sign-up to pay by monthly subscription" option.
Events
Please also take this time to advertise all your churches events
for free. Send an email with
events in the heading and we will post them on the events calendar.
We especially want the weird and wonderful not just ministry
conventions.
Just to remind
you of our last developments
1) Even if your trial period has ended you can
still log in and search for members.
2) You can
still reply to any mail that you receive.
3) There are over 2500 UK members to choose from and new members are
joining daily and posting photos!
4) You can search so newest
members appear first , saving yourself time if you've already
looked through all the members.
5) You can now make instant
credit/debit card payments without extra sign-up to Paypal. Prices
are still amongst the most competitive around!
6) You need to
remember to log into the site regularly to make sure you don't get
archived (if you leave it for more than a month). Maximise your chances of meeting someone by
adding a photo or video too.
